Poster
Designed for the final showcase. An individual work by using Adobe Illustrator.

Editing
There were nearly 30 video clips and 20 audio sources we had in total. To reduce the reading speed and unexpected mistakes in After Effects, we edited all of the video and audio clips in Premiere first. After receiving the basic video, we used After Effects to add special effects only.
Shooting
We followed our schedule to finish the shooting without any issues. This process took around 2 hours. To avoid reshooting, we added more camera angles and video clips.

Preparation
Before the shooting, we made lists for the types of equipment we needed and our schedules. After everything was ready, we rehearsed first before the real shooting date, for example, the lights’ positions, microphones, camera angles and recorders.

My Role
My roles in this 4-person team were special effect designer, video and audio editor. I designed the main image layout of the documentary and the special effects which combined interviewee’s project and his explanation together. In addition to media editor, I recorded audio sources and designed the propaganda poster.

Storyboarding
After choosing interviewee’s project, we went to the storyboarding step to show the layouts and camera angles to our interviewee.
The mood board could help the interviewee to know what colours and video styles we would use. From interviewee’s feedbacks, we changed some plans and shooting details in the following processes.
Other Project
An individual project from a documentary course where the goal was to create a 30-second self promotion video. The video featured 3D illustrations and animated effects to showcase mu skills in After Effects.
